The Poble Nou of Benitatxell pays tribute to the memory of its women in the 8M programming

The Department of Equality, Gender and Diversity Policies, in charge of Víctor Bisquert, has designed and extended to an entire month an intense and very ambitious programming dedicated to women. There will be presentations of books and colloquiums with authors, theater, art, feminism, the II Cursa de la Dona and the presentation of the audiovisual 'Our seas. Memory of the gifts of the Poble Nou de Benitatxell ', among other activities.

The programming, organized in collaboration with the Housewives Association, will start next July 2 March with the talk colloquium 'Benitatxell: unnoticed gender architectures', by Ana Arbona. It will take place at the Social Center at 18:00 p.m.

Rosa Pastror, ​​now retired, was a professor of psychology at the University of Valencia and a founding member of the Institut d'Estudis de la Dona. His research specialty has been social violence around women. In 2011 he published his first anthology, 'Spiral of mirrors', and in 2013 he published the book of stories 'Paw print'.

Currently, as a collaborator of the Institut d'Estudis de la Dona of the University of Valencia, she carries out research activities and develops various literary and artistic aspects.

On Saturday afternoon, at 20:00 p.m. in the Santa María Magdalena church, the events will continue with the concert 'Donate and Music' by the Grup Polifònic Ars Nova de Xàbia and, at the end, it will be the women's dinner at the La Cumbre restaurant.
