The Poble Nou of Benitatxell celebrated the traditional festival of San Antonio

The Poble Nou of Benitatxell celebrated, this past Sunday, February 2, the festival of San Antonio Abad. The Sunday day started with a great atmosphere of brotherhood accentuated by the good weather. The Penya of Cavallistes i Carreters, organizers of the event, in collaboration with the Department of Festivities, offered a popular lunch to all attendees at 9:30 a.m. on la Pau street.

Then, at 12:00 hours, the pet parade began. Dogs, cats, turtles, rabbits and all kinds of animals received the blessing in the Market Square and their masters and you love a scroll and a picture. Also the carters and horsemen of the whole region enjoyed a colorful and sunny parade enlivened by the music of the Colla The Llebetjà. The party was attended by the mayor, Miguel Ángel García, and the Councilor for Fiestas, Mayte Roldán.
