El Town hall of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell has decided to postpone the La Rosa parties, scheduled for May 2 to 10, and the Rock & Fava festival, which had already been postponed to the start of the health crisis to June 13.
The government team, through the Festivities Department, has transmitted the news to the festivities, who have understood and supported the decision. In mid-March it was already determined to cancel the MitjaFava Fest, scheduled for the second half of April.
Now, after the uncertainty generated by not knowing for sure when the state of alarm will end and normality will resume, these two festive events of May and June have added to the cancellations. As for the new dates, it is preferred to wait to see how the stage progresses.
Festivities
As regards the supervisory celebrations in honor to Santa María MagdalenaLocated as in July every year, a firm decision has not yet been made. It is the largest festival in the municipality, which implies an important task of organization in the previous months, as well as a great deployment of financial means.
In principle, it will wait a few more weeks to see how the virus progresses, but if the authorities finally recommend the cancellation of festive events, they should also be postponed.
The Councilor for Parties, Mayte Roldán, has assured that it has been a difficult decision, but that it has been agreed at all times with the protagonists, who have preferred to be farsighted and ensure the party for later.
