The ordinary plenary session corresponding to the month of June unanimously gave the green light to the request to accept the delegation of competences of the Ministry of Education in matters of educational infrastructure.
Now, it will be the Town hall, through the program Edificant, the person in charge of carrying out the improvements in the Arenal and Port de Xàbia centers with an amount of 90.000 and 186.889 euros respectively. In this sense, the PP requested that the procedures for improvements in the Graüll school be accelerated, a process that, according to the government team, is being studied to make the best decision.
Covered sports hall of the Freginal
The plenary session also approved to request the Alicante deputation to include the work of the Covered Sports Pavilion of the Freginal. It is a work with a budget of 1.893.272 euros, of which the council provides 412.000 euros and the rest is the responsibility of the municipality. The councilman of works explained that the project contemplates the demolition of the current covered track and the construction, on the same ground, of the covered pavilion.
This point provoked divergence of opinions among the aides in attendance. Juanjo García He felt that it would be necessary to repair the old facilities and build new facilities, while Juan Luis Cardona proposed as a solution to be installed behind the ratchet, since the demolition of the current uncovered track involves the loss of the frontenis track. Motions of the opposition
The Popular Party presented two motions.
