'The organ of the church of Jabea in 1881', by Godofredo Cruañes Aracil

August 14 from 2020 - 11: 38

Among papers in my family file, I have found this record dated July 20, 1881; It is about the review of the organ of the St. Bartholomew's Church of Jávea. I have endeavored to ensure that your transcription is accurate, despite the deterioration resulting from the action of time.

In the Villa de Jabea on July XNUMX, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-one, meeting in the Parish Church, Mr. Juan Bautista Alvarez organist of the Villa de Ondara Mr. Francisco Bordes, organist of this and Mr. Cristoval Bolufer and Gual appointed censors For the review of the Organ, we proceeded to examine and review it, having found it remarkably good, noting an unexpected improvement in it given the circumstances in which the Organ was before its transfer and believing that the will of the Testator was fully fulfilled: inasmuch as In the opinion of those who subscribe, it has remained in a complete state of solidity and teaching.
We have seen with pleasure, fulfilled, even with excess, the bases of the contract made between D. Agustin Catalá and D. José Alcarria, Mr. Alcarria deserving the pleas of the censors and other people who have attended the act of revision.
And for the record at the request of D. Agustin Catalá and D. José Alcarria, we deliver this testimony.
