12 March 2020 - 07: 35

Two months ago, it was announced that the Marina Alta region, and specifically, the venue that hosted the legendary Vergel Safari Park, was hosting an international macrofestival of hardcore music and hardstyle from July 17 to 20.

In a short time the controversy arrived in which the association Acción Ecologista AGRÓ reported on the harmful impact of this celebration on the Marjal Pego-Oliva Natural Park and the species of birds that nest, which led to the filing of a complaint with the Prosecutor's Office. Provincial of Valencia by the Association for the Defense of Nature in the south of Valencia.

So the direction of octopus-festival has communicated, through their social networks, that the festival is relocated to a new location near El Verger, given the magnitude and impact that the event has taken in its initial phase, being the beach of Tavernes de la Valldigna, where will host the first edition of this event keeping the same days of celebration.

The organization indicates that the area where the event was planned to be held, next to the Marjal de Pego-Oliva natural park, is located outside the PORN (Natural Plan for Natural Resources), being a buffer space in which it is possible to develop the project within the law, according to official reports from technicians and engineers.

The statement continues adding that the organization of the Festival has always given priority to caring for the environment, carrying out actions to contribute to sustainable development, "But the situation created by certain environmental groups, municipalities of neighboring cities and the press condemning the location of the event has been the origin of the promoter who has decided to act quickly to relocate it to another place after meeting and communicating it to the El Verger consistory" .
