Ana Arbona, the feminist illustrator of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell, who rebels against the dictatorship of the aesthetic canon, exposes her works, under the title Mapejant Cossos in the Municipal Market of the poblera population until May 31.

Ana Arbona, from 26 years, is a graduate in architecture from the University of Alicante. She has done an end-of-degree project on feminist urbanism and is currently doing a Master's final project together with a colleague on
gordofóbia, architecture and society. She also makes illustrations and embroidery of bags (with a partner also) with a feminist and social claim in her instagram "mitjafava i sudaka".

The artist explains about her creations that “With my illustrations I try to make visible bodies that today's society tries to censor by not entering the prototypes that are considered valid. The aesthetic pressure that women suffer on many occasions lead to hide their own bodies or influence the way of being and self-esteem. Visualizing bodies and emotions (such as anxiety and sadness) means normalizing them, and normalizing them also translates into acceptance. In this exhibition, specifically, I try to map the bodies of different women, trying to translate on paper what that body and that person transmits to me. "
