The Lions Club donates 2.000 euros in purchase vouchers to the Social Services of Benitatxell

The Teulada Moraira Lions Club, one of the most important solidarity groups in the region at an international level, has made a donation of 2.000 euros in purchase vouchers (of € 50 each) to the department
de Servicios Sociales El Poble Nou de Benitatxell.

This is an important monetary amount that will help the most vulnerable families to buy food and basic products at the Pepe la Sal supermarket.

This association has been collaborating altruistically with the municipality for more than eight years, working closely with the Department of Social Services, and always aware of the needs of the most vulnerable people. His fantastic bond with the Town hall it was finished forging in 2019 with the appointment of the mayor, Miguel Ángel García, as an honorary member of the entity.

Among the contributions of this association it is worth highlighting the collaboration in the free provision of textbooks; food stamps for the most disadvantaged families; active participation in Christmas campaigns; the endowments to the Local Police and Civil Protection of the latest technology in patient resuscitation, keys to
save lives, or the latest donation to Civil Protection of a quick-build tent for various uses, including the Advanced Command Post (PMA) or health care.

The Councilor for Social Services, Isa Garrido, has highlighted her commendable work, both in the town and in the rest of the region, and has declared that “We will always be forever grateful to the Lions. It is an honor for this government team that people with such a great heart and capacity to help are always aware of the needs of our citizens, especially the families with the most difficulties. ”
