The IES Nº 1 of Xàbia, coordinator of the Erasmus + Project KA229 of school education "Europe 'R' Us", last week welcomed its participating partners from Italy (Liceo Clássico & E. Piga; in Villacidro) and Portugal (groupings of Schools Marques de Marialva to Cantanhede).
Throughout the week there were work meetings and planning of what will be the mobility of the selected students. This project is one of the many that are developed in the center and its main themes are gender equality, inclusion and digital competence. In addition, the center not only has secondary school projects, but also has a long history in Vocational Training projects. This course participates in two projects coordinated by STEPV and the Melchor Botella Union School.
In addition, the IES enjoys a recognition such as the "Carta Echea" which accredits it to participate in Higher Education mobilities until 2027. It is also one of the few centers in our province that also has the School Education Accreditation that It will allow European projects to be carried out in the period 2021-2027.
Finally, the center is preparing this week for the imminent arrival, on Monday, October 4, of a group of German students from the Friedrich-List-Berufskolleg in Herford who participate in the project "Learning Sustainabilty- Sustainable Learning" together with 1st grade students. of high school of the IES Nº1 of Xàbia and whose main axis is recycling, awareness about food waste and the ecological footprint.
