With four days to go Nit de Rock of Xàbia changes the poster of artists. One of the groups that performed on this day of concerts has issued a statement announcing the cancellation of their performance. The reason: the schedule of the concert.
As published on the posters and in the party book, the group pupil.les closed the Nit de Rock. The local group 'Arsenic' will be the opening act and 'La Fúmiga' will be the headliner. As planned, 'Pupil.les' would close this series of concerts at Les Fogueres de Sant Joan 2022.
The group explains that they requested to be the first group to act "because 5 members of the group work the next day and three of them in Catalonia." According to Pupil.les "it was granted to us and we found out six days before acting that we are the last".
On the other hand, from the Town hall, the councilor for Fiestas, Kika Mata, affirms that "from the first moment, more than three months ago, they agreed with their representative company the schedule they would perform, hence it is announced in the program of parties". It should be remembered that the party program was already presented a month ago.
Mata insists that "the organization of performances is contracted with time, not at the last minute. His company knew the performance schedule from the first moment and we do not understand that they have found out with a few days to act."
Given this last-minute drop, the Festival Committee is working to publicize the new group that will close the Nit de Rock.
