The Grup de Reüll analyzes the urban art interventions of the region in its 30 years

02 March 2020 - 10: 21

Last week it was celebrated, in Xàbia, the XXVI Conference Series of the Group of Reüll, which in this edition has been dedicated to the analysis and recapitulation of what has been done by the regional association during the 30 years to include La Marina Alta in the international circuit of Contemporary Art, shake minds and promote general knowledge about current plastic and Vanguard.

The conference was given by Daniel Soriano, and brought together De Reüll members, artists from the region and public interested in following the group's activities, in addition to the renowned critic and art curator Isabel Tejeda.

Daniel Soriano made a well-structured tour of the artistic interventions promoted and organized by De Reüll members in the urban areas of Xàbia, Benissa (Espai Trobat), Dénia, Pedreguer, Jesús Pobre, etc. Soriano highlighted the importance of the group as pioneers in the international arena in proposing and bringing contemporary art to the street and to citizens. Through both jurors and curators, De Reüll has also known, according to the rapporteur, to make proposals of relevant quality and content.

Urban interventions sometimes playful, sometimes critical of social and political problems, sometimes with the vocation of recovering urban customs and iconography or, on the other hand, of renovating the environment, have also had, as Daniel Soriano pointed out, an equally transformative reflection in the various media that echoed these interventions, their controversies, their achievements and why not, their disappointments.

Daniel Soriano Pérez is a graduate in Fine Arts and a Master in Artistic Management and Production, has held numerous workshops and curated several exhibitions in the city of Murcia. In addition, he has published several catalogs on avant-garde art.
