The Governing Board of the Consortium of Aguas de Teulada-Benitatxell approved a new batch of works to expand water resources in these two municipalities. The agency gave the green light unanimously to open twin wells current in Canor y senija II. And water extraction will increase, will adapt and equip the well Pla and will join the supply network of les Fonts. These works will begin after the summer to avoid the risk of hindering, with the works, the current water supply. These works have a budget of 1.038.000 euros.
The board announced that during the summer with the current resources will be able to meet the demand, provided that the tourist occupation is similar or a little greater than last year. In fact, now you can inject more water into the network. If last summer the supply limit was 16.000 cubic meters per day, now you can reach 17.500. The Consortium values lowering the pressure at night to fill the bedside deposits and be prepared for a possible breakdown.
