16 2019 April - 13: 29

The idea of a new playground in which the educational community of the CEIP Trenc d'Alba has been working for some time has taken shape this past weekend. Thanks to the collaboration and intervention of 70 parents and 50 students and teachers of the center, the school playground of the Trenc d'Alba presents a new image.

Kitchen, cabin, climbing wall, slates, rest area or plants are some of the actions that have been carried out this Sunday with the sole objective that all children play and enjoy, in a big way, the recreation area through the renaturation of this one, creating a greener, more inclusive playground and creating ties between the community.

The faculty believes that it is a learning zone more, until now undervalued and that it has to be endowed with resources to promote autonomy, imagination, respect and care for nature.

And, with the motto, This Pati Fa Tribe, the management team points out that the goal is for the play area to be creative, coeducational and inclusive and, of course, "That the children learn through the game and the coexistence with the rest of the students".

Although for the moment only the first phase of intervention has been carried out, both families, teachers and the students themselves are excited to continue with this new model in which it is expected to be able to follow the next course by expanding the leisure areas and including sources of water, project with which they are already working at the municipal level in Xàbia.

The project 'This Pati fa tribe' will be presented in Consellería as an educational innovation project for the next school year 2019-20. So far, the educational center has had the help of the collective Todos Juntos Jávea (subsidizing materials), Mendoza collectivities (healthy lunch in the working day), the Javea Town Hall (with the contribution of materials and the technical supervision of the project) and the collaboration in labor and more materials of the families of the center. Also from collaborating companies such as Viveros Chorro, Juan Antonio Santacreu, Racá Xàbia and Fusteria Doroteo Marín. In addition, they are grateful for the involvement of the xabiero, Miguel Ángel Miguel García, who collaborated voluntarily to make a sculpture with the trunk of a tree that symbolizes "This tribe."

During the performance, the councilors Kika Mata (Services) and Montse Villaverde (Education), they came to the school to show their support for this initiative that strengthens the Sustainable Development Goals of UNESCO's 2030.
