El Port de Xàbia school was the winner of the 'XIV Interscholastic League organized by the Club Náutico Jávea'. In this edition were more 160 schoolchildren of the education center of Xàbia who participated in this sporting event organized by the club xabiero in collaboration with the Department of Sports.
During 15 days, schoolchildren learned and knew sea sports such as sailing, windsurfing or kayaking, sports that can be practiced in the Club Nautico de Javea throughout the year. In this way the quarry of future sailing champions is created.
In the league the Port de Xàbia School prevailed, in second position was the María Inmaculada and the IES number 1 occupied the third position. The expeditions of the Port of Xàbia were, together with those of the Arenal, the most numerous, with 25 participants each.
The winners also won prizes in the category of paddle surfing and kayaking, as well as in the drawing contest, which this year had two variants, with an ecological and creative design, and the costumes.
All participants received, from the hands of the Councilor for Sports, Alberto Tur, from the Commodore of the Club, Rafael García Bartual and the member of Vela, Javier Poole, a medal in recognition of the learning carried out these weeks.

The sea in particular, has been one of the themes in which the Club has put more effort.
At the end of the act, all the protagonists and their parents and mothers were able to enjoy a snack. Once the Interscholastic League is over, school children can continue their training in sea sports in the different summer courses that the Nautical Club has underway.
