The Jávea Yacht Club paid tribute to the Luján brothers world sailing champions

The brothers Enrique and Pablo Luján were honored, for the Club Náutico Jávea, by proclaiming themselves World Sailing Champions in the 4.20 Class. The Gandhi sailors were accompanied, in this act held in the club itself, by a hundred people.

When both sailors made their entrance in the social lounges of the club they received a sonorous and extensive ovation paid by all the assistants. The event was chaired by the General Director of Sports of the Generalitat, Josep Miquel Moya and was attended by the mayor, José Chulvi, The councilor of sports, Vicent Colomer, of the entire board of the Jávea Yacht Club and young sailors and friends.

The Luján brothers signed in the honor book of the club with this message: "A thank you to the people who participated in this project, especially the Club Nautico de Javea, Town Halls, teammates, all the coaches we have had throughout this project, managers and sponsors, especially Fermax. Without the help of all of them, and together with what they have done each, this success has been possible, which is not only ours, but of all together".

Important investment for sport

The event featured several speeches, starting the president of the xabiero club, Arturo Miquel, highlighting the role of the parents of the Luján brothers and the importance of the sponsors in this sport. Miquel himself meant the spirit of improvement that these two boys have, "Not long ago they were fourth in a world championship, they were not discouraged until they achieved their goal, to be champions. Meanwhile, the general director of l'Esport, Josep Miquel Moya, underlined the support of his department to the yacht clubs and the Sailing Federation of the Community.

In turn, the Mayor of Xàbia, José Chulvi, emphasized in his speech that the Luján brothers have fun with sports and "Honest, sincere work and perseverance"It has led them to proclaim themselves world champions.
