El Club Nautico de Javea commemorates the 500 centenary of the Tour of the World of Magellan with a regatta for board lessons this weekend. In this way, he joins the celebration promoted by the Spanish Confederation of Yacht Clubs and the 500 Centennial Association of the return to the world of Magellan.
The test will take place between this Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 and will be attended by 50 sailors from the different categories of boards: Bic Techno sub 15 and sub 17, Bic Techno plus, Windsurf open child, RSX, Raceboard, as well as a novelty, the category Foiling Formula in which the sailor of the Club Nautico de Javea, José Luis Boronat.
The race is baptized with the name of Ceacna V Centenario Magallanes Route Trophy and it is the result of an agreement between the Spanish Confederation of Yacht Club Associations (CEACNA) and the Commission of the V Centenary of the first Circumnavigation.
An agreement that will consist of the organization of basic sailing regattas dedicated to honor the memory of Fernando de Magallanes, Juan Sebastián Elcano and the rest of the expedition that participated in the circumnavigation of the land between 1519 and 1522.
A deed that is considered one of the greatest deeds of mankind, which must be approached by young sailors.
