The 2022-2023 Children's Sailing season started in Xàbia this past Sunday. In the bay of Jávea and with the local Yacht Club as host, the first test of the Autonomous Cup of the Sailing Federation of the Valencian Community was held, of the eight scheduled for the Optimist A of the Community.
The day had good wind conditions which allowed completing the program planned by the committee of six tests. The sailor of the RCN of Valencia, Blanca Ferrando, obtained with her participation 15 points, five less than the second of the absolute general table. A position that has been occupied by his club mate: Eduardo Reyes, who also won in Jávea, highlighting in his draw a partial victory, achieved at the end of the day on Saturday in his third test.
The podiums were completed with José Eugenio Ribelles (RCR Alicante) and Mateo Carbonell (CN Jávea) in U16 Men and Maria Fenoll (CN Santa Pola) and Carlota Gómez (CN Jávea) in women. As for the SUB13, the podiums were closed with Raúl Martínez and Liam Woods from CN Jávea and Juan Francisco Chumilla (RCN Torrrevieja) and Valentina Belso (RCN Torrevieja), Marta Ferrrando (RCN Valencia) and Elena Pérez-Manglano.
