The Los Leones de Xàbia, Dénia and Pedreguer Club once again demonstrates its support for the Servicios Sociales de Xàbia donating 2.000 euros in purchase vouchers that will go to people or families with fewer resources. The vouchers, each for 20 euros, are a direct help to make purchases of basic necessities in the masymas supermarkets.
The person in charge of Social Services, Rita Berruti, has thanked the Lions Club for its commitment to the most vulnerable families in Xàbia since they keep their donations every year. Berruti wanted to emphasize that this year the aid is even more valuable, since it is much more difficult for the associations to be able to raise funds due to the social restrictions that exist due to the health crisis and that prevent them from carrying out the type of charitable acts to which they are accustomed.
The councilor has taken the opportunity to appeal to the population not to stop helping the weakest in the face of this pandemic and its economic consequences. That they channel their spirit of solidarity with initiatives that do not involve social contact or are counterproductive to the health situation in which we find ourselves.
