The Club Escacs Xàbia, winner of the Local Chess League

On the morning of this past Sunday, 2 in June, the Regional Championship was held by Chess teams in the Miguel Buigues Pavilion of Xàbia. A comxicotetion in which 14 teams from all over the region met. Each formation was composed of 4 players, plus the reserves and in total the participation was of 60 children.

Great atmosphere and interest of the participants, many popes, moms and people watching the clashes and a lot of struggle on the boards. The team classification was led by the Club Escacs Xàbia with 4 wins and 1 draw. The second place was for the formation of the Club Escacs Calp with 4 wins and 1 defeat and the third place was for the Escacs Dénia Club with 3 wins, 1 draw and 1 defeat.

The organization thanked the collaboration of the Javea Town Hall and its sports council, as well as the town councils of the region, their respective sports councils and local coordinators, parents, participants and people of the Xàbia Chess Club for being able to celebrate this tournament for another year.

The next tournament is this June 8 corresponding to the Bonfires Tournament.
