This weekend in Xàbia start the celebrations in honor of Sant Antoni, driven by the equestrian club The Tiraset and the Penya La Burrera.
On Friday it will open the amusement fair -and until the 10 in February- with 22 positions and located on Avenida Palmela. This will have two special days: on Friday 18 in January in which there will be a hot chocolate at 18 hours and Friday 25, "child's day" with popular prices.
On Saturday, take the reins El Tiraset with the transfer of the monumental pine to Sant Antoni street. It will be at the 12 hours in Plaza Constitución and from the club they will be encouraged to witness this maneuver that is carried out in the traditional way, with mares of load. In the afternoon, at 20 hours, the pine will be set on fire in an act enlivened with music and in which there will be mistela and nuts for the attendees.
Sunday morning will be held the parade of the image of Sant Antoni accompanied by cars and horses that will leave at the 10 hours of Constitution Square and after a long tour of the town and Duanes will end in this same space, where The 13 hours will take place the blessing of pets and the sharing of blessed bread.
Thursday 17 -day of Sant Antoni- will be the penya La Burrera which organizes the blessing, this time in the port. The festive day begins at 9 hours with a parade accompanied by dulzaina and tabalet and at 12 the mass will be celebrated by the patron saint of the animals in the parish of Duanes, from where a small procession will depart to the promenade, where the parish priest will bless all pets.
El councilman Festival, Antonio Miragall, has presented today both programs of events with the leaders of both groups: Pepa Chorro on behalf of the Tiraset and José Roberto Mata for the penya La Burrera, who have invited the entire population to participate in the acts they prepare with such enthusiasm.
