The Center Excursionista Xàbia (CEX) meets 40 years and wants to share this celebration with all neighbors. For it has scheduled a calendar of activities throughout the month of February in which it will review its history and promote among the smallest love for the mountains.
The program begins next Thursday the 11th with the opening at 19:30 p.m. at the Soler Blasco museum of a photographic exhibition. Through the photographs a journey is made through these four decades and through all the international expeditions in which they have participated in recent years.
From the CEX hope that this sample is an excuse for more than 1.500 partners who have the club can remember anecdotes and shared moments. Not surprisingly, as highlighted by President Juan Carlos Ribes, the Center Excursionista "It has been a very important for the history of Javea, one of the first associations that existed and one that entity's activities included". Some examples of social revolution that originated partners are 700 who got in a little over a year and had various sections, as cineclub, motoclub or fotoclub, among others.
Some of its founders, as Pepe Marzal or Felipe Bisquert, have recalled the origins of CEX and enthusiasm to participate in their trips they had children who then did not reach ten years and are now part of the board of the entity.
Precisely with the vocation of forming a quarry and transmitting the love of mountaineering to the little ones, the club has included several audiovisual screenings on the anniversary of the richness of biodiversity in the Montgo for the schools of Xàbia. Also a day of irrigation and control of the last reforestations in the granadellaWhich will be on Saturday 13.
Another activity scheduled is the talk "The feeling of mountain"Sebastián Álvaro, director of the television program"The Edge of the impossible". This talk will be held on Friday February 19 to 20: 00 hours in the House of Culture.
That day will also be a celebration dinner 40 birthday it is open to all partners who wish (have to book the club itself).
Finally a trip to the Montgó has been prepared on Sunday 21, which will go to the 8: 00 hours from the club's headquarters.
