From this Monday, March 23, the El Poble Nou de Benitatxell Health Center closes its doors to transfer its consultations to the Teulada ambulatory. This centralization measure, which responds to the guidelines of the Dénia Department of Health, aims to join forces and contain possible infections.
Thus, human and medical resources will be doubled at the Health Center in the neighboring town and hours will also be extended. Until now, the Benitatxell center only attended consultations from 9:00 a.m. to 15:00 p.m., while in Teulada the hours will be from 8:00 a.m. to 21:30 p.m. Monday to Friday and from 9:00 a.m. to 21:00 p.m. on weekends, in addition to offering 24-hour emergency service. However, it is recommended to contact by phone at 965 73 90 85 before going to the health center and if you have any questions.
This afternoon, however, the planned blood donation continues, which will take place from 13:30 to 20:30 p.m. with specific protection measures. On the other hand, a specific protocol has been enabled for prescriptions for chronic patients without the need to provide the treatment sheet in pharmacies. In order to avoid
trips to health centers for such cases, the Ministry of Health has launched a generic PIN that will allow the dispensing of all new prescriptions and those already issued, and which can be typed by the pharmacist without the need to have the printed sheet.
The Councilor for Health of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell, Isa Garrido, remembers the exceptional situation we are experiencing and asks citizens to only go to medical centers in case of emergency or extreme need, to avoid infections and collapses. “We all have to make an effort and let medical professionals work. It is also important to stay home so as not to spread the virus and go out only for basic necessities. With collaboration and solidarity, together we will succeed in overcoming it ”, indicates the mayor.
