Three years ago, the CEIP Trenc d'Alba started the project This pati fa tribe; a performance in which the entire educational community was involved to create a new leisure space and thus improve the usual playground.
The new project is based on the re-naturalization and transformation of the current patio into a living environment, full of experiences, mysteries, totally coeducational, inclusive and charming for children.
To do this, after the implementation in these past two years of some specific improvement actionsThis Sunday, March 28, 2021, the first of the major scheduled interventions was carried out. Respecting at all times the security measures established in the contingency plan for COVID-19 and the restrictions they imply, only a few members of the educational community attended to make this change possible: an almost total transformation of the playground.
In spite of damage caused by an act of vandalism The night before, the educational center, with limited human resources, managed to carry out the planned action and that the boys and girls of the nursery cycle could, this Monday, see and enjoy the new recreation area, which presents a totally different image .
And it is that, with the changes made, the cement space has been transformed into an environment "more natural", more meaningful and generator of learning. From the center they explain that "We think that all the spaces in the school are places to learn, and the playground is the most important of them. For this reason, we want to transform it to the maximum so that it becomes a place full of adventures and challenges: in short, in the yard of your dreams ".
CEIP Trenc d'Alba thanks the entire educational community in general and the Javea Town Hall in particular their involvement and resources to make this project a reality.
The actions that have been carried out in this intervention have been: the construction of a mountain with field soil, placement of coconut fiber to fix it, placement of artificial grass in the tunnel created in the mountain, placement of sleepers to delimit sandbanks , distribution of silica sand and placing a children's kitchen in the final location, distribution of beach walkways in the mountain area, planting of trees and shrubs in sandy areas and mountains, mini platform with walkways and placement of benches everywhere in the mountain.
