22 March 2021 - 14: 33

El Javea Town Hall It will debate, in the next plenary session, a modification of credits that amounts to 3 million euros and that contemplates an important battery of investments. It is the second of the year, since the first of 9 was intended to cover the funds necessary to activate social aid and economic reactivation measures due to the social and health crisis.

In this new proposal in economic matters, the most important credit reserve - about two million euros - is destined to the acquisition of a large bag of land in the Catarroges area (for industrial use) since the municipality intends to relocate the eco-park and unify the municipal warehouses where materials owned by the City Council are collected, the machinery of the brigades or the cars removed by the crane, among others.

The Consistory already has public land in that area, which plans to develop as an industrial estate, and is interested in acquiring an additional 30.000 square meters to centralize the storage of services, which is now distributed in several locations, some of them in poor conditions, in a space with less visual impact.

Another of the highest amounts is the 850.000 euros that it will dedicate to improving public lighting and replacement of wiring, or the 300.000 euros for the municipal postal communications contract.

The modification of credits includes 140.000 euros for set-up and repair of playgrounds, as well as for the drafting of modernization projects for those located in Montaner or Pedro IV park. And 160.000 to improve underground car parks, replacing the payment machines with more modern ones that accept card payments and the acquisition of a computer program for access control.

This reorganization of municipal financial resources includes 100.000 euros for Sports, 40.000 euros for police clothing and specific computer software for the police force; 10.000 euros for expenses and allowances in Civil Protection; 4.000 euros to acquire a road traffic regulation barrier in the Celestino Pons square; 30.000 euros for cat sterilization campaigns; 40.000 euros for a work to reinforce the slope in Pierre Boulez street; 74.000 euros for extra expenses related to the pandemic in schools; 11.000 euros to enable some dependencies in the House of Tena as headquarters for young people; or 28.000 euros for the Museum to collaborate with the archaeological surveys in L'Illa del Portitxol and reissue a new issue of Quaderns del Museu.

This list of investments is added to other projects in more advanced stages of management and that exceed 7 million such as the construction of the covered swimming pool (5 million), the asphalt plan (1 million), the reform of the parks of Thiviers and the Freginal (1 euros) or the Montgó collector (800.000 euros).
