Xàbia City Council implements telework while the health crisis lasts

Mayor, José Chulvi, has decreed the implementation of teleworking starting this Wednesday for practically all of the municipal staff.

In recent days, the New Technologies department, in coordination with the telephone provider company, has installed the necessary programs on personal computers to manage the files and an application with which the telephone extensions are diverted to mobiles and laptops.

And it is that telephone attention (965790500) has now become the essential channel of public administration, as evidenced by the more than 350 calls answered in offices in the last week, to which must be added the hundreds of inquiries received in the Police checkpoint or through social networks.

In the coming weeks, only work that cannot be outsourced will be carried out in municipal offices, such as that necessary to continue paying suppliers or registering documents. The Local Police and cleaning services will also continue on the streets, fulfilling the essential functions of this state of alarm.

The mayor has guaranteed that the attention is fully guaranteed, as well as the political management, since the councilors continue to run their departments, attending to the needs and doubts that this unprecedented situation generates and in continuous contact through telematic means.

In fact, today they held a group meeting to define the measures being taken so that no one is left unprotected and to make an estimate of how this crisis will affect the economy in order to plan the first aid.
