A few weeks ago, the Department of Culture of the Town hall de Algemesí opened the online admission period for works candidates for the XXVI Ciutat d'Algemesí Painting Prize. Around 300 artists presented their works, electronically, through images together with a technical sheet.
Among those presented was the artist from Xàbia, Tomás Sivera, being his work 'Leap to freedom', one of those selected by the jury, made up of Rafael Armengol, Josep Esteve, Adam Isabel Tejeda, Pilar Tébar and José María Yturralde, for the Exhibition of the XXVI 2020 Painting Prize.
Although on this occasion, the one from Xàbia, could not win the first prize endowed with 6.000 euros, which has been awarded to Josep Tornero, if he has been very satisfied to be among those selected among such a large participation.
