Mayor, José Chulvi, has received the four agents that make up the Special Commitments Unit (UCE), recently awarded by the Network for Animal Protection (REPA), for their work in defense of animals.
The councilor and the chief steward, José Antonio Monfort, were last weekend in Madrid at the awards ceremony that recognize the best police services nationwide.
Chulvi has congratulated the agents and the Councilor for Citizen Security, Pepa Gisbert, for this recognition of good practices, the work carried out with relevant actions (from sea turtles trapped in nets to injured birds or a dog that fell into a cistern in flat, among others) and that also recognizes the means (land and sea) that are used when an animal rescue operation is necessary.
