The residence Asylum Brothers Cholbi is a building that was built in the late nineteenth century and was inaugurated in 1915, the first statutes date back to 1895, for the establishment of the foundation by donating goods Don Carlos Cholbi Bañuls and brother Don Cristóbal.
An important part of the institution have been the Salesian Sisters of the Heart of Jesus, they began their services in Jávea in 1895 in the hermitage of Calvario, later they moved to the old Parish of the Sea and in 1915 they came to the current residence until their services ended in July 2013.
Asylum was restored in 2001 and 13 2002 April inaugurated the then Archbishop of Valencia, Agustín García Gasco Don. Asylum is a mixed residence can accommodate 60 people. It has 50 10 private and public squares. Cholbi Brothers Foundation is responsible for administering such residence and is a non-profit foundation. Its president is the pastor of Sant Bertomeu, Vicente Gilabert.
The specific objectives of the foundation are to maintain the functional capacity of people, promote social relations, rehabilitate the altered abilities, predict the onset or worsening of disorders and diseases and to support and assist the person in carrying out the functions altered.
The services offered by the Residencia Foundation are composed of, administration, kitchen, dining room, Chapel, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Social Worker, Chiropody, Laundry, Hairdressing and Socio-Cultural Animation. Prices vary according to medical assessment. Currently the residence is complete and they work around 45 professionals.
It also has an open to the public on Sundays and holidays at 10 morning church liturgies are offered.
