On the occasion of the 125th anniversary of the first visit to Xàbia and other municipalities of the Marina Alta of Joaquín Sorolla, the Federation of Organizations of Xàbia (FORXA), formed by the different associations of merchants of Xàbia joined to create the first pictorial contest, with the title 'Els colors de Sorolla' in order to capture an image of the painter on shopping carts.
After the deadline for submission of works, the jury has chosen, equally, the works 'Xiquet al far verd' by Wilda Marie Goyetche and 'In the shadow of the umbrellas' by Mary Louise Boardman, as the winning works of the contest to be reflected in the shopping carts that can be seen in different streets and squares, so that people can enjoy them shopping in local commerce.
