Two young men are rescued in the Cova Carlada when they fall into the sea due to the blow of a wave

August 22 from 2019 - 12: 29

Around 15 pm on Wednesday, through a call to 112, the Dénia Red Cross receives the notice of an emergency in the Cova Tallada. They were two young people, between 20 and 30 years old, who had fallen into the sea due to the strong storm (since yesterday the red flag was flying on the beach of Les Rotes de Dénia) and they were clinging to a rock so as not to be dragged by the current.

On this occasion, the 112 mobilized the Maritime Rescue helicopter, Hemiler and Dénia Red Cross lifeguards. A lifeguard quickly moved along the path from Les Rotes and a beach lifeguard with two lifeguards by sea, who were the ones who threw themselves into the sea where the victims were to make a human chain to the cave, which was already I found the companion who had gone to the ground and could rescue them.

The rapid intervention of the first responders meant that the helimer did not have to act, since upon arrival, the two young men were already safe and only had superficial wounds. The two rescued were with a group of friends, a total of five, who were the ones who gave the alarm.

One of the young men was taken to the health center to have a wound checked that might need some stitches.
