The Xàbia Local Police continues to ensure that citizens comply with the restrictions set by the State of Alarm. Since March 16, they have controlled more than 3.000 vehicles when they were driving on public roads, identified almost 2.500 people and filed 165 complaints against people who were outside their homes without just cause. Of these, two have been detained.
Of these sanctioning files, more than a third have accumulated in the last three days. Between Saturday and Sunday there were 50 complaints, filed by the local police, of which 20% were to people who had moved to the second residence. And today, Monday, another 20 have also been sanctioned, mostly from other autonomous communities.
The Local Police, in addition to this function of internal surveillance and access to the municipality, in which it coordinates with the Civil Guard, is providing important assistance work. At the telephone level there are 974 calls related to the alarm situation and the agents are also in charge of distributing the protection material (masks, gloves or disinfectant gels) received by the Town hall both from private or company donations and from different administrations.
These are delivered to the Health Center, Red Cross, Nursing Homes and groups that work in basic sectors such as cleaning or transportation.
Also, this weekend, the agents have participated in actions such as the day of disinfection carried out with the agricultural machinery.
