Two Ukrainian artists residing in Xàbia organize a charity exhibition to help their compatriots

The Russian invasion of Ukraine has unleashed a humanitarian emergency in the country and has shaken and filled Europe with pain. There are many groups and entities that are coordinating different initiatives to be able to help the victims and provide basic necessities to the thousands of refugees left by the conflict.

One of them, loaded with symbolism, is the one promoted by Anton Gudzykevych and Mariia Zhurykova, a couple of artists from Ukraine who have lived in Xàbia since 2019 and who, through their Gudzgallery art gallery, have contacted other artists based in the municipality for prepare a charity exhibition in record time in order to help his compatriots.

All the work that is shown will be for sale and the proceeds will go to the response programs that the Red Cross is deploying at the foot of the area.

El Javea Town Hall has also collaborated in the initiative by giving them a municipal space, the ground floor of the Lambert Arts Center. The exhibition will be from Monday the 7th to Thursday the 10th in the afternoon (it will be open from 17:21 p.m. to XNUMX:XNUMX p.m.) and artists such as Anton Gudzykevych and Mariia Zhurykova, Juan Caravaca, Tomás Sivera Vallés, Gabriel López, Creus, Jaume Monfort or Fuensanta Niñorola.

The list of collaborators in this artistic crusade for peace is growing by the minute (if there is someone who wants to join, they can contact the organizers at artgudz@gmail.com) and the promoters hope that citizens will also respond, visiting and collaborating financially. with the cause.
