The Public Library of Xàbia organizes, on the occasion of the Day of women writers, a meeting with the local writer, Pepa Guardiola. The appointment will be on Friday, October 15 at 20 p.m., at House of Culture, with free admission, until full capacity is reached.
The Day of the Writers is a commemoration started in Spain in October 2016 by the National Library to give visibility to women writers and combat the discrimination they have suffered throughout history.
The meeting is planned as a meeting to talk and a reading of texts from his books. The Library has also prepared a document with biographical information on the writer from Xàbia and a careful compilation of her work, with a summary of all her books and a list of stories scattered in many media.
Pepa Guardiola i Chorro is a feminist, retired teacher and writer, in love with the land and the culture of the Valencià Country.
As a writer, she has published stories for all ages, more than 30 books for children and young adults, two novels for adult reading audiences and numerous stories in different media and in collective narrative books.
