They arrest a man for making a false report of theft

A man of 53 years and Spanish nationality is arrested in Dénia by agents of the National Police to report a false theft of their cards.

Apparently, the detainee was registered at an online betting service and later reported that someone had used their card to make fraudulent payments, as well as that they had used their card to pay tolls without their consent.

The investigation was carried out by the Judicial Police Group of the Dénia Police Station after receiving the report of this person. Agents quickly began the first investigation and contacted the company whose name appeared as beneficiary of the movements that were reflected in the extract of the complainant's card.

These movements had to do with the discharge in a service online of gambling. The researchers, after contacting the company, were able to see how the movements had been authorized by the complainant through voice and text messages.

Later he thought better and instead of unsubscribing he went to the police station denouncing that someone had used his card without his authorization to carry out the expenses, pretending to be the victim of a
crime.

Not content with reporting the online scam, he also denounced an improper use of his credit card on the highway. When the agents investigating the case agreed to the recording of the closed toll security circuit, they verified that in fact the person who used the credit card to pay for the trip was none other than the complainant himself.

Before the facts, the agents of group of Judicial Police of the Dénia Police station proceeded to the arrest of the denouncer imputing a presumed crime of simulation of crime. After being heard in a statement, the detainee was released pending the summons of the Judicial Authority.
