Drop in coronavirus infections in the Marina Alta

The Marina Alta region has registered a decrease in coronavirus infections with respect to the last update, according to data provided by the Ministry of Health.

In today's report, the Dénia Health Department counts 47 new positives since last Friday. A figure that shows a slight decrease compared to the 56 that were registered 4 days ago.

Of these 47, 7 correspond to the town of Xàbia, which remains in the same number of infections as the previous update. Since last March, Xàbia adds 218 positives, of which 25 are from the last 14 days.

The positive news is that there is no need to regret any death from COVID-19, so the total number of deaths since the pandemic began is 34. As for the total number of positives, the Dénia Health Department accumulates 1828 confirmed infections by PCR, with 192 new positives from the last 14 days. These data show that the incidence in the Dénia Health Department is 111,80 infections per 100.000 inhabitants.

New cases of COVID-19 in the municipalities of the region

Of the 47 new positive cases registered since last Friday, the population of the region that has counted the most infections is Dénia, with 16 positive cases, which is followed by Xàbia with 7.
