El Javea Town Hall prepares a popular act with which he will pay tribute to the athlete xabiero, David Ferrer, in the year of its withdrawal. It was last May when the Xàbia tennis player said goodbye to the world of tennis after 19 years of professional career.
Ferrer said "forever" having managed to be the 3 number in the ATP ranking and one of the best 10 players in the world during 7 seasons. His achievements as a professional tennis player are many and he has shown his day-to-day struggle to be who he is and earn the respect of everyone.
David has carried the name of Xàbia for each city and each country in which he has been, thus dedicating numerous titles to his hometown of which he is the Favorite Son. For all this, the City Council wants David Ferrer to close this special year in which he has received tributes on many of the key tracks in his sports career with a massive act of recognition in Xàbia.
The tribute will be on the walk that bears his name, the walk of the Arenal Beach. The act will be Saturday 14 of December, at 12: 30 hours and is open to the public, "neighbors and fans who have proudly followed every game and every sports victory of the tennis player", said the mayor.
