The tennis player David Ferrer will receive, on the 9th of October, the Distinction of the Generalitat during the delivery of the 9th of October prizes, at the civic act that is held in the Palau de la Generalitat to commemorate the day of the Valencian Community.
The jury of the awards highlighted Ferrer "He is a prestigious professional tennis player, one of the four active players with more than 700 victories. He started playing at the age of 8 with his brother (tennis coach) and his father. At 18 he became a professional already the 20 won his first ATP title (Association of Professional Tennis Players) in Bucharest (Romania). Throughout his career he has finished seven seasons in the Top 10 ATP (2007,2010-15) ".
They also highlight that "In the last edition of the US Open (August 2018), the Spaniard faced the last participation of his career in a Grand Slam before finally saying goodbye the next course, as he has announced, in a small tour of different ATP tournaments World Tour ".
David Ferrer will receive this recognition along with the tennis player Anabel Medina.
