Four sailors of the Club Náutico Jávea receive the award A Sea of Champions 2020 organized by the Valencian Community Sailing Federation aims to recognize the best athletes of the year.
2020 was a very hard year for everyone, also for athletes, but even so the sailors of the Club Náutico Jávea achieved great successes, which are recognized by the Sailing Federation in this gala that this year is celebrated online, at the he hopes to celebrate it properly in an event that could be after the summer.
The sailors of the Club Náutico Jávea who have been recognized are: José Luis Boronat, Carlos Marí, Alex Ortega and Marta Sánchez.
José Luis Boronat achieved the Spanish Slalom Championship, and was first in the regional one in Iqfoi. Marta Sánchez achieved the Spanish KiteSurf Championship, Alex Ortega was third in the Spanish Bic-Techno Cup 293 sub17, the best in the two tests of this category at the regional level and Carlos Marí was first in the regional one in the Bic category -Techno plus sub17.
Some results that, according to the sports director of the Club Náutico Jávea, Javier Momparler, allow "Reinforcing the work that the Club has been doing for so many years in promoting comxicotetive sailing in Xàbia". Likewise, Momparler stressed that although it was "A year marked by the pandemic and the health crisis, sailors have worn our club's necklace very high."
In addition, Momparler stressed that the Club intends "Maintain this line of good results" and expand it in the coming seasons.
