The spokesperson for Ciudadanos Xàbia, Enrique Escrivá, has spoken with the representatives of the associations of businessmen and merchants of Xàbia, "In the face of the need to give a unanimous response among all to this crisis". The mayor has transferred his predisposition to meet and transfer their needs and proposals, as well as to provide solutions in collaboration with the municipal government in the face of the economic effects of COVID-19 "In a municipality like ours, which historically lives and has lived in the service sector".
For their part, the representatives of businesses and companies have indicated that there is fluid communication with the Town hall, although they have reported that they are waiting for the reactivation plan that is being prepared by the
municipal government.
The councilor of the orange formation has highlighted that "Merchants and businessmen are a fundamental pillar for the Xàbia economy and our priority is that the return to normality happens to provide security and that businesses and jobs are maintained".
For this, the mayor has opted to create a joint work table between merchants, entrepreneurs and all
political parties that make up the plenary session of the Town Hall, “That serves to establish a fluid communication and monitoring channel between the business network and the municipal Corporation, regarding the measures that
raise within the framework of the reactivation plan of the City Council, which contributes to creating the largest possible number of aid of easy and quick access for the beneficiaries ”, as well as to articulate measures that
contribute to strengthening the tourism sector and its seasonality, "not to leave anyone lying ".
