C's Xàbia proposes that sports clubs and entities have greater representation in the Consell de l'Esport

The spokesperson for C's Xàbia, Enrique Escrivá, has announced that it will propose, in the next Committee on Culture and Sports of the Javea Town Hall, that the Consell de l'Esport that is going to be constituted soon, have a representation "Proportional, fair and equitable" of all the clubs and sports entities of Xàbia, since "It is they, the true protagonists, who must lead the sport in Xàbia, yes, in coordination with the City Council"Escrivá pointed out.

The xabiero spokesperson points out that he had already presented a series of proposals for improvement in the public presentation phase of the draft of the Consell de l'Esport, betting on improving transparency and participation in the operation of this advisory body, proposing that "Both the calls and the minutes of each plenary session of the Consell de l'Esport are posted in a visible place on the website of the City Council, to be easily consulted and thus bring topics of interest to residents".

However, the mayor himself has received and has echoed in recent days, the complaints of different clubs and sports entities, given the low representation that they will have in the advisory body called to ensure the promotion of sport and the interests and concerns of xabieros athletes.

A problem, that of the low representation of the clubs that, as Escrivá has assured, "We cannot ignore", since the Regulations of this Consell de l'Esport, which has just passed the exhibition phase
public-, "It only provides for 4 representation positions for sports clubs and entities, a figure that stands out for its low proportionality, taking into account the almost 40 sports entities that currently exist in Xàbia".

An underrepresentation, which contrasts with the fact that the Regulation contemplates that there be a person representing the School Council of each educational center, for which as Escrivá has stated "With this configuration, it is difficult to understand that schools have more representation in the Consell de l'Esport than the sports entities themselves".

Therefore, the orange councilor has opted to expand the number of representatives for clubs and entities, from 4 to 10 representatives in the Consell de l'Esport, thus taking into account the diversity of sports disciplines, to "Open representation to the different fields of sport, trying to involve all sports activities, improving and bringing participation in matters and decisions that affect them themselves."
