Cs Xàbia proposes that AMJASA award prizes for educational excellence to recognize the effort of Xàbia students

03 September 2021 - 07: 32

In the ordinary plenary session of the Javea Town Hall, the spokesperson for Cs Xàbia, Enrique Escrivá, has proposed that since
AMJASA prizes for educational excellence are created and awarded for primary, secondary, high school, training and university students.

Some prizes that, as Escrivá has explained, would consist of an economic part, which in no case would impose a burden on AMJASA's economic capacity, and also a gift card to consume in the shops of Xàbia, a measure that could be carried out through an agreement between AMJASA and the Federation of Business Organizations of Xàbia.

According to the mayor, in the same way that the City Council promotes the 'Sports Day', in recognition of the talent and effort of our local athletes, these awards for educational excellence would be part of the celebration of the 'Dia de l'Alumne', with the aim of “taking another step, to promote the culture of effort and thus recognize from the public company of all xabieros, values such as the merit and talent of the next
Xabieras generations, at the same time that we continue to help local businesses and give a break to the pockets of some families ”.

A deserved reward for the effort and dedication of the students, who also during the pandemic are proving to be up to par and adapt to the changes and restrictions to face COVID. Yet another reason, according to
Escrivá, “so as not to wait a minute more and that the municipal executive start up as soon as possible the aid for transportation and residence expenses that young xabieros who are studying FP and university outside of Spain are forced to pay. Xàbia ”.

Promote women's sport from the City Council

In another sense, the councilor of Cs has pointed out the need for the City Council to create lines of aid that serve to support those clubs and entities that are dedicated to making visible and promoting women's sport and
the grassroots sport. It would be, Escrivá has indicated, of "launching a new line of aid, apart from the agreements that the Xàbia sports clubs have with the City Council".

In this way, as the mayor added, launching these aids with which to defray the expenses of clubs and entities that promote women's sports and grassroots sports, “we will not only be helping to consolidate gender equality through sport, but we will continue to champion and give alternatives to continue supporting Xabiero entities and athletes at all levels and from all ages ”.

Air quality meters to improve sustainability

Finally, Escrivá has proposed that the Xàbia City Council install air quality meters in the three urban centers and in the urbanizations, “as a measure to make visible the problem and the collective challenge that fighting climate change entails and especially, to raise awareness on the importance of controlling and reducing the levels of air quality pollution, given the problems that atmospheric pollutants in the air we breathe may pose ”, both for the health of the neighbors and for the sustainability and risk of environmental imbalance of the natural environment of Xàbia.

A measure that could be launched, according to the orange councilor, in the hands of the Atmospheric Pollution Laboratory of the Miguel Hernández University of Elche.

That they donate the money they collect from Amjasa counselors to pay the prizes, every day they want
"MAMAR", more people from Amjasa, until they privatize it.

  2. Ignacio says:

"Prizes that would never be an economic burden for AMJASA" of course because the money was taken from another site but what the hell does he have…. We propose prizes but with the money of others. They are terrible.

  3. The channel says:

What mania do these have with prizes, what you have to do is lower taxes, do you get in or not in?

    • Ignacio says:

      Absolutely right.

    • Rachel says:

And that AMJASA supply all Xàbia and we have the public services for which we residents pay taxes (drinking water, public lighting, sewerage, street cleaning, wastewater, etc).
It doesn't make sense for us to pay taxes if we don't receive basic public services. And are there prizes? A little serious please
