In the extraordinary plenary session held, this past Monday, in the Xabiero Town Hall, the spokesman for Ciudadanos Xàbia, Enrique Escrivá, proposed to the municipal government that it study the feasibility of extending the use of the nebulizers purchased by the Javea Town Hall, also for the disinfection of closed spaces in schools in Xàbia.
Escrivá positively valued the purchase by the City Council of the nebulizer machines in order to disinfect the municipal premises for the celebration of cultural or sports events, "To claim that culture and sports are safe in Xàbia".
However, the spokesperson for Ciudadanos stated that "while the air purifiers with HEPA H 13 filters announced by Conselleria arrive" (action announced by the president of the Generalitat this week), that the nebulizers bought by the City Council be used to reinforce the daily work of the cleaning service in schools and give many families an added security.
Given this proposal, the Councilor for Education, Montse Villaverde, explained that all schools have a daily cleaning, ventilation and deep disinfection reinforcement from first thing in the morning, 7 hours.
The mayor added that the council is considering that in the event that a positive case is detected in the classrooms, a more intense disinfection with the nebulizer should be carried out, "Even so, periodically, meetings are held with the management teams to learn about the evolution of the situation and the needs and sanitary measures."
