This past Sunday the 9th edition of the Infiniti Half Triathlon took place in Peñiscola, a demanding test that combines swimming, cycling and running. The athlete from Xàbia attended this comxicotetion, Cristina Roselló, who faced this challenge after being a mother.
Roselló achieved very good results, despite the weather situation, reaching the second step of the podium and proclaiming herself runner-up in this event.
According to the athlete herself in her social networks, "at 7:30 the starting gun was fired, in swimming, it was with Rolling start", a format made by the covid measures but in which the athletes do not control in which position they are by the staggered exit.
The xabiera, after the fight in the water, left in 32:45 minutes, got on the bike, in the rain, facing the 90 km of the route with force and getting a second best partial since she advanced "many positions until I placed the second girl , the 90 km with 1005m at 33,29 km / h ", explains Roselló.
When he left the bike, he took the race segment that consisted of three laps of 7 km, "the going with the air against it was very noticeable, but the return was very grateful. I finally did the best partial of the race on foot at 4:21 a.m. 21,1 km ".
Undoubtedly a good race that made Cristina runner-up in the Peñiscola Half Triathlon after more than a year and a half without being able to compete.
