Triathlete, Cristina Roselló, put a flourish, or better silver, to his season obtaining the second place in the classification by age group 25-29, being sixth of the general classification of the Ibiza Middle Distance Triathlon European Championship.
The day began with a lot of rain and thunder, an uncertainty on the part of all the participants since they did not know if it would be canceled or they would duathlon, finally two hours late the departure was given with a modification, only one bike round, due that the circuit was in poor condition, so they ran 45 kilometers.
Runner-up of Europe age group 25-29
In the first swim segment with 15 hours, the Xàbia was very good, went around the island in Figueretes beach to complete the 2.000 meters and left in the 18 position of the sea.
Then began the odyssey of finishing the bike segment without falling, from the first kilometers, Cristina Roselló could not be coupled as the wind moved the bike sideways, then dodging puddles and it started to rain. In his head he only thought of "I had to have stayed at the hotel", he lost many positions in a segment in which he usually advances rivals, but hey, he finally finished the long 45 km at 32km / h (the previous year the 120 Km came out to 33).
In the segment of running race he wanted to give his best, he had to climb and from the beginning he started running feeling very comfortable and especially with strength in his legs. The classic ascent to the castle that lowered the rhythm and between the wet cobbles managed to overcome several positions. He entered the finish line occupying the sixth position of the absolute general of women, being second in his age group 25-29.
In the mind of the Xabiera was that he could not believe it after the disastrous segment of the bike he had made. It is not at all easy to become a European runner-up in the medium distance triathlon of its category.
Culmination to its best season
This runner-up supposes the culmination to his better season, where in spite of the fall of the bicycle in the month of August, has obtained good results. Much of the blame that this has been possible is his coach, Cesar Pereria, who knew how to get the best she has. There is no doubt that moral support has come from Angel, his fiancé, who has been able to give him all his support in the hard times he has had.
