The Ministry of Health has released the latest data on the situation of the coronavirus in the municipalities of the Community. With regard to the Dénia Health Department, there is a decrease in infections compared to the previous update, in which there was already a decrease in positive cases.
In today's update, the Marina Alta registers 39 new cases since last Tuesday, a figure lower than the previous day in which 47 new infections were recorded. Undoubtedly, figures that show an improvement in the situation of COVID-19 in our region. With the new data, the region accumulates 1867 positives confirmed by PCR since the pandemic began and indicates that the cumulative incidence falls to 93,16 cases per 100.000 inhabitants.
Another positive news is that there is no regret for any death from COVID-19, so the total number of deaths since the pandemic began is 34.
Of the 39 new positives, 7 correspond to the municipality of Xàbia, which adds 225 infections since last March, 23 of them in the last 14 days.
