The new update of coronavirus data by municipalities facilitated by the Ministry of Health shows a significant decrease in new infections in the Dénia Health Department, on which the entire Marina Alta region depends.
In today's report, the region registers 204 new infections, compared to 292 the previous day. Thus, the total number of positives registered since March 2020 amounts to 13.485, of which 1.002 are currently active.
With regard to the accumulated incidence in the Marina Alta, it drops notably, standing at 587,25 infections per 100.000 inhabitants compared to 720,29 cases per 100.000 inhabitants last Friday, although it continues to remain in an extreme risk area contagion.
In the case of Xàbia, the new infections registered are 49 (70 in last Friday's update). The town has recorded 2.111 infections since the beginning of the pandemic, of which 206 are active at this time. In addition, another positive fact is that the accumulated incidence, one more day, has fallen from 849,51 cases per 100.000 inhabitants (in the last update) to 735,29 infections per 100.000 inhabitants in today's report.
