Conference: What defines a good photograph?

26 September 2021 - 11: 31

La House of Culture de Xàbia hosts the conference 'What defines a good photography?' given by Eduardo d'Acosta. This activity is part of the cultural program of the Red Eyes Festival. It will be on Saturday, October 2 at 18:00 p.m. Access will be free until full capacity is reached.

D'Acosta points out that "taking photos is not difficult; it is usually not very complicated once you have mastered the camera technically. The really difficult thing is knowing when one of our photos is good."

How to decide between so many images? What makes a photograph stand out from the rest? Why, of the thousands of photographers in the world, only a privileged few make it to museums or even to art history books? The conference will try to explain the variables that make a photograph good and even magnificent. It will also explain what really matters when taking or looking at photographs to distinguish what really matters when evaluating an image.
