The Ars Nova de Xàbia will offer one of the most special concerts of its trajectory. At the end of 2018, the year in which the choir celebrates the 25th anniversary of its formation, the XXV Anniversary Concert will take place next Saturday, December 15 at 21:00 p.m. in the Church of St. Bartholomew de Xàbia under the direction of the soprano Teresa Albero.
In the first place, ARS NOVA XXV will be performed, commissioned by the choir of Pere Vicalet. A work that mixes the experiences and experiences of the members of the choir, structuring the musical discourse through texts, electronic, humor and surprises that connect the group with Xàbia and with everything that is important for each of its members.
Next, they will be interpreted Dark Night of the Soul y Luminous Night of the Soul, both by the Norwegian composer Ola Gjeilo and which uses texts by San Juan de la Cruz and Anthony Silvestri to capture his message.
Finally, and with the collaboration of the classmates who have been part of the choir during the 25 years of the formation, two carols will be sung, thus closing not only the concert, but also an intense year and a trajectory of effort and dedication.
It is therefore a concert of special relevance in which we will have the soprano and director Teresa Albero, the pianist Sílvia Ferrer, the string quartet Sul Tasto and the director and composer Pere Vicalet, premiering his work.
