24 2020 April - 21: 38

The Xàbia midfielder, Xavi Torres, has issued a statement responding to the sentence handed down by the Provincial Court of Navarra. The footballer assures in the note that he does not understand that he is sentenced for a crime that he has not committed.

Release:

"Today I have been notified of the Judgment of the so-called Osasuna Case, for which I have been convicted of a crime of sports corruption.

First of all, I want to express my full respect to the magistrates who have issued it. At the same time, I cannot hide my surprise since I do not understand that I am condemned for the commission of a crime that I have never been able to commit or intervene in any way.

Both in Betis and in the other clubs that I have defended throughout my career, I have acted with rectitude in accordance with codes of professionalism and honesty. Far from committing any infraction, I have always tried to collaborate with justice, with the truth and I will continue to do so to safeguard the values of sport.

With deep sadness, I have asked my lawyers to carry out the corresponding appeal, with the total assurance that the sentence will be revoked soon. "

Justice in Spain is not an independent power, the duck who least deserves it pays, it is not the same for all people, each judge has a way of inferring the law, nor do the prosecutors agree with them, A SHAME that the laws are easier to interpret, for stealing a chicken they get you 3 years in jail and for stealing millions they just go away.

Justice is not the same for everyone, it is scary to go to court, if you are a banker or politician you are acquitted, the rest of us are sold, I do not share that citizens cannot say that the judiciary must be sanitized, they panic and one-to-one feel totally helpless.
