Compromís wants to protect the fishing sector of Xàbia with a new tourism law

May 16 from 2023 - 13: 27

The Compromís candidate for the Presidency of the Generalitat Valenciana, Joan Baldoví, has been in Xàbia today, thus accompanying the candidate for mayor of the town, Carme Català. During the visit to the fishing port and subsequent meeting with the fishermen, Baldoví announced the commitment of the Valencian party to guarantee and maintain the work of the fishing sector with the approval of a new tourism law.

The Compromís candidate has outlined that the tertiary sector must be promoted, "tourists no longer come only for sun and sand, so the tourist offer must be expanded and diversity and this work made known. Xàbia without its fishing port would not it would be Xàbia, that is why we must promote the tourism law and maintain the essence of the town, its signs of identity".

Tourist tax

On the other hand, from Compromís the implementation of the tourist tax is promoted, "people who live in Xàbia do not have to pay for all the services of tourists, due to the wear and tear involved in providing those services to those who visit us and who are the ones who enjoy", maintained Baldoví.

Likewise, from the ranks of Compromís per Xàbia, Amadeu Ros, has highlighted that "it is necessary that nautical traffic be regulated, that the territory be reorganized. That the use of buoys have a fee."

Meeting with the Fishermen's Guild

At the end of the tour of the fishing port, Carme Català and Joan Baldoví held a meeting with the heads of the Fishermen's Association to find out their concerns and convey their proposals that safeguard their employment.

I'm not going to vote for Compromis because I don't trust them at all.

  2. xabiero says:

Nationalisms are a cancer for society, and we have the proof in the Basque Country and Catalonia, in an increasingly global world there is no room for nationalisms.

    • Pau (FR) says:

You say it because of Spanish nationalism, right?

      • Luis says:

No, he says it because of French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Swiss, Belgian, Dutch, Japanese nationalism...etc...

    • Tony says:

For the moment, the only thing that strict Spanish nationalism has achieved is to divide society into other nationalisms, thanks to its contempt and its determination to destroy the different cultures of those communities that you name.

      • Luis says:

How have you tried to destroy the cultures of those Communities? They cannot be more subsidized. Each Community with its own government and exclusive powers in education is a very strange way of wanting to destroy them. Don't the Generalitat de Catalunya and the Eusko Jaurlaritza exist?

  3. Jose says:

I only wait for the collapse of Compromis in the Valencian Community.
Starting with Ribo, Grezzi and the entire clique of professional haters from that group of buddies…
